EIA petroleum inventory alerts by email

The EIA Weekly Petroleum Status Report the moment it publishes, covering crude, gasoline, and distillate inventories, with an AI read on what the draw or build means for prices.

Why this feed exists

Every Wednesday at 10:30 AM ET, the EIA publishes the Weekly Petroleum Status Report. It is the single most-watched inventory data in energy markets. A crude or gasoline number that misses the private estimate circulated the night before can move oil futures within seconds of release, and retail energy headlines usually lag the actual print by minutes to hours.

What each alert includes

The headline inventory numbers for crude, gasoline, and distillate draws or builds, a link to the full report, and a Market read built for supply data: how the number compares to the prior week and to analyst expectations, what it implies for refining margins and pump prices, and the transmission to crude benchmarks, energy equities, and the currencies of oil-exporting economies.

When it lands

The report normally publishes Wednesday morning; a federal holiday on Monday or Tuesday pushes it to Thursday, and the EIA sometimes delays individual weeks for data-quality reasons. Your alert reflects the actual release, not the usual schedule.
